we also make sure that right from the beginning in our daycare an elder child in the group becomes the tutor for your child. being there for each other helps your child to familiarize easier with the new surroundings in the nursery and in the initial stage your child feels protected and supported. through a child's eye the situation often looks different from that of an adult's and so the older 'tutor' child in the group supports your child in addition to the teacher.the tutor children are our eldest children from our pre-kindergarten or kindergarten group and they learn to take over a responsibility by looking after a younger child. they pass on their knowledge and experiences and watch the success of the younger ones with pride.

we offer your child a stable and familiar surroundings in our nursery in which to grow as a part of our globegarden family. we accompany your child in every-day life so that it comes to know its position and value in the community and grows up to be a responsible and self-confident person and little learner.we would like to give your child strength and stability by teaching it to having trust in him- or herself. being self-confident means going through life in a secure way and with a positive attitude towards challenges. consequently we boost your child's independence by encouraging it to have trust in itself.
furthermore our children learn the importance of clear rules in the group. your child learns to judge and handle limitations and gets to know its duties and abide by them. this ensures harmony in the group and each child receives the appropriate attention. children then, in time, learn to solve conflict situations among themselves without the help from an adult. we also keep an eye on polite manners and social behavior towards each other in our kindergarten.
i have no special talents. i am only passionately curious. albert einstein
outstanding achievements are always from people who let themselves be lead by their innovative imagination, eagerness, inquisitiveness and fantasy. in our nursery and for us, these are the foundation of any kind of learning, any kind of enrichment of knowledge and any kind of idealism. we wish to prepare your child for all this and build a foundation of fun and success in school and in life and above all a rich and rewarding childhood with unforgettable moments.therefore our days are structured in guided sequences and on the other hand in a playful fashion, where self-directed play and child choice learning matter most. we make sure that in all phases above all curiosity and inquisitiveness are strengthened in your child.

in addition we offer your child various outdoor programs like for example the football world cup at globegarden. your child can use its energy in games, matches and tournaments where he or she runs and jumps and thus learn to calculate its strength. in the quieter part of the program, we encourage self-control, body control as well as your child's own rhythm. creative children's dance is for example fun for boys and girls and always a highlight in our childcare centers. we are aware that children are physically quite differently developed and so we therefore make sure that we offer a variety of it all.
music is the literature of the heart, it commences where speech ends. alphonse de lamarti
we set great value on early musical education and we open the ears and above all the hearts of the children to the world music. we already start with first tone experiences and first rhythmic exercises and bells with our very small children. we sing together, we listen together and we love it when the radio or great children’s cd and also classical music play along during the day. alongside singing, the children are also encouraged to listen and watch. every once in a while we have a dance spectacle for example during our summer parties. the special and expectant atmosphere of such a day is never forgotten and lays the foundation for a life long love of music and movement to music.a different language is a different vision of life. federico fellini
language is a gift to everyone. we integrate the lifelong gift of language through daily activities like listening, speaking, reading, and writing. it creates a bilingual environment in which the love for books, story telling and reading is born and cultivated. in our infant & toddler groups in our nursery we support your baby to discover the world by exploring rich sensory environments, sights and sounds. starting from our group twos onwards your child will discover the world of languages. an english and german teacher work together in a dual-teaching approach in these groups. our english teachers are mother tongue or have studied english or lived in an english speaking country for several years.our kindergarten groups are state-recognized. we ensure international and cantonal standards and here the abc, letters, writing of the children’s own names and maybe even reading becomes relevant always according to the children’s interests and strengths.
every child is an artist. the problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up. pablo picasso
we encourage children to discover their individual talents and also express themselves artistically. we believe that art is all around. our program in the area of aesthetics and art education enables your child to dip into the world of art with all its diversity of shape, color, style and method. your child makes first experiences in different projects, when working with water colors and finger paint. we try out glittery colors and thicker and less thick colorings and we might try to copy some famous artist, just to discover our own little picassos. this is fun for everyone.
the larger the island of knowledge, the longer the shoreline of wonder. ralph m. sockman
being four years old, marks – in most of the cantons – the age for the obligatory and officially recognized kindergarten group in our childcare centers. our kindergarten program is based on the cantonal and international kindergarten curriculum and prepares your child in an excellent way for his or her start in school as well as academic excellence. through a first contact with figures, counting and combinations we encourage early analytical and mathematical abilities. during supervised projects your child can for the first time witness scientific experiments like why is some material soft, some hard, some heavy some light? why is the egg fluent at the beginning and hard after boiling? how many grams of butter are needed to bake this favorite chocolate cake of mine? inquisitiveness and above all the researcher spirit is aroused in every child.the habits we form from childhood make no small difference, but rather they make all the difference. aristotle
children are very different and they do not all have the same powers of self-assertion. we communicate to your child the importance of supporting each other in kindergarten and integrating the weaker ones into the group. at a young age our children learn to stand up for each other and to develop moral courage.we regularly work on social projects in the local community of our childcare center as we want to leave a local footprint here and there. we set great value on the children learning helpfulness, responsibility and compassion and opening their hearts to the requirements of the weaker and to those in need. projects in solidarity like singing in old people’s homes, visits to children's hospital wards and animal homes are valued very much.
